Med Sync is a coordinated refill program. Instead of refilling your prescriptions at random times throughout the month, our pharmacists coordinate with your doctor to ensure all your ongoing medications are filled and ready for pick-up (or delivery) on a single day.
Whether you live in Valley Stream, Elmont, or Rosedale, this service allows you to stop worrying about running out of medication and start enjoying a simpler schedule.
How Does the Process Work?
Getting started is simple, but it does require a little bit of initial setup to get everything aligned.
The Review: You bring in your current prescriptions, and our pharmacist reviews them to see what needs to be filled.
The Alignment (The "Short Fill"): This is the most important part. To get all your dates to match, we may need to give you a "partial fill" for some medications during the first month.
Example: If your blood pressure meds renew on the 1st, but your heart meds renew on the 15th, we might give you just enough heart medication to last until the 1st of the next month. This aligns everything to a single "Anchor Date."
The "Anchor Date": Once aligned, you will receive full 30 or 90-day supplies of all your medications on this specific date moving forward.
The Monthly Check-In: More Than Just a Refill
One of the biggest benefits of Med Sync is the peace of mind it offers. We don't just put your refills on autopilot; we actively manage them.
Before your scheduled date each month, a member of the Crescent Pharmacy team will give you a call. We use this check-in to:
Confirm you are still taking the same medications.
Check if you have had any recent doctor visits or hospital stays.
Ensure there are no changes to your insurance or dosage.
This proactive approach helps catch errors before they happen and ensures you always have exactly what you need.
Is Med Sync Right for Me?
Our program is open to anyone with multiple prescriptions. Whether you take three medications or ten, you qualify for the program.
Cost: The service is mostly free to join. You are responsible for your standard insurance copays. (Note: You may have a small, one-time copay adjustment during the "short fill" alignment month, depending on your insurance plan).
Flexibility: It depends on your schedule! You can choose to pick up your synced medications in person, or combine this service with our free home delivery to have your entire month's supply brought right to your door.
